Mainstream smoke - refers to the smoke exhaled by the smoker
Side stream smoke - refers to the smoke coming from the lighted end of the cigarette itself
Third hand smoke - refers to the chemical residual of tobacco smoke that clings to clothes, furnitures and other materials after a cigarette is extinguished.
Cigarette is probably one of the most harmful thing one can consume. According to experts, cigarettes contain harmful chemicals which can cause cancer. One prominent chemical is the Nicotine. With all these possible harmful effects of cigarettes, the government has been doing efforts to lessen the consumption of individuals of cigarettes and raising awareness from all sorts of outlets.
The cigarette itself is already harmful, therefore, its smoke too, from the mainstream, side stream and third hand smoke. All these types of smoke are all harmful too. And according to health professionals, inhaling these cigarette smoke is even more harmful than the act of smoking.
The smoke of the cigarette has the same toxic chemicals that the smokers inhale too. Therefore, even if you do not smoke if you are able to inhale this cigarette smoke, it is just like you are smoking too, in a passive way however.
We can now conclude that all these types of smoke are all harmful and contains toxic chemicals and carcinogens (responsible for cancer). And we do not want our own family be victims of this deadly piece of thing. That is, we need to join hands in advocating eradication of cigarette and or encourage other people to take cigarettes in moderation and smoke away from the crowd.
