A kind of bacteria has some roles in our body that is important. Somehow, these bacterias has the ability to reduce the growth of bad bacteria. Bacterias can also break down the poisonous juices that is created in our large intestine, break down the substances that can't be digested (fiber, starches, etc.)


Fermentation Bacterias are essential because it processes in generating energy for our cell growth.


Bacteria can also be important in our soil, they form microaggregates in the process of binding together the particles of the soil with the excretion. In the recycling of soil nutrients, water recycling, and many more.


Bacterias are very helpful to us, humans, in our environment, and in our organisms. Most bacterias can be found on the processes i mentioned above, digestive system, fermentation. soil. In digesting, they are the ones helping our digestion to be easier. Also, bacterias are in the production of our food such as cheese,vinegar and yogurt. and in our agricultural work.

Archaebacteria - The usefulness of archae bacteria is very evident in the genetic engineering industry. One of the biggest and most famous example is the usage of the Taq polymerase in DNA sequencing. Other examples also include usage of methanogens, a group of bacteria which can produce methane, in the biogas industry which generates electric energy for home and commercial use.Eubacteria - Eubacteria have been used since the foundation of the society of humans but wasn't well-known until modern revolution in microbiology. Bacteria are used in food industry as fermenting organisms for wine, vinegar, cheese. They are also used for studying medicine and how to treat some diseases. GMO crops also make use of bacteria as vectors for genetic treatment.Protists - are well-known for generating the food we call seaweed or agar. It is made of a plant-like protist called algae. These algae are also used as feeds for certain organisms like fishes and small crustaceans.Fungi - are most popular in the food industry. Fungi is very important in the production of bread. Without it, a billion's worth of pastry industry wouldn't have risen.

Bacteria are unique, ancient forms of life that were the first to emerge on Earth. The characteristics of bacteria are the following:

Unicellular - bacteria are unicellular organisms, meaning they exist even as a single cell. They may form clusters of organisms called colonies.Microscopic - bacteria cannot be seen by the naked eye. They are very small and thus require special instruments like microscope to observe them. Prokaryotic - all bacteria do not have a nucleus that holds their genetic material. They only have a nucleoid region which barely resembles a nucleus without a nuclear membrane.Presence of cell wall - bacteria are organisms that have a cell wall made of a special protein-lipid combination called peptidoglycan. This protects them from the harsh environment and also makes them infectious. Shape - bacteria have different shapes named as coccus (sphere), spirilla (spiral), and bacilli (rod).

Examples of bacteria are Escherichia coli, Neisseria gonorrheae, Staphylococcus aureus.

Food - some bacteria are used to produce food for human consumption while some are food themselves for other microscopic organisms such as protists.Medicine - the medical science and biotechnology have a wide variety of use for bacteria, from producing hormones to creating vaccines from them.Decomposers - bacteria help reduce the waste here on earth. They are responsible for breaking down dead organisms or organic wastes. This helps in recycling the nutrients in the environment.
