How will you relate the distribution of mountain ranges with the distribution of earthquake epecinters and volcanoes?

I believe this question should be on geology or general science but anyway, the majority of the epicenter of the earthquakes is near the 'ring of fire' of volcanoes because the 'ring of fire' is on the 'edge' or the boundary line of plates. That's why it is more probable to have earthquakes near them.

Florida and North Dakota are the states with the fewest earthquakes. Antarctica has the least earthquakes of any continent, but small earthquakes can occur anywhere in the World.

Our Earthquake Statistics has M3+ earthquake counts for each state beginning in 2010

Earthquake Epicenter

The epicenter is the projection to the surface, perpendicular to the hypocenter that reflects the intensity of an earthquake, a product of the liberation of tensions in the failure or weakness area in the Earth's crust.
