1.) The water in the Venice Grand Canal channel is 16ft deep and known by locals as the Canalazzo, it has over 170 buildings that was dated back almost 13th centuries ago and built along its two-and-a-half mile length, many of them are grand palazzos.
The majority of the structures were built in the middle of 13th and 18th century and most are open directly onto the canal, making their fronts accessible only by boat.

Rialto is the known as the oldest of the four bridges across the Grand Canal channel, which divides the city in two.
