In a little way, how can you help your family?

As a member of a society, we all have a responsibility to help others and improve the state of the community and world that we live in. Pay attention to the people around you, and try to find ways to address their needs.  Help people out during everyday life when you have the opportunity. While they may not be glamorous, small gestures of kindness at a one-on-one level are a great way to be useful in your community. Listen to the people in your daily life and show them empathy. Our friends, family, and co-workers are members of society, and we can contribute by showing them emotional support.   Volunteer at a community organization to help others in society. Volunteering is a great way to interact with your local community and help out people who are less fortunate than yourself.  Plant a tree in a local public area to help clean the air. Not only will planting a tree enhance the beauty of your neighborhood, it will also make the environment a little healthier. Vote in local and national elections to influence society for the better. If you live in a democratic society, voting is a crucial part of contributing to both your local and national community.

I know it's a common answer by other students but not for me. I come from a poor family, I can see the struggles and the efforts that they make just so that we can have something to eat and to sustain what we need for the day. I didn't know anything about the word "sacrifice" when I was still a child, I would often complain why we don't have food to eat, and if I complain my father would then go through all the trouble just to satisfy what I want, he would borrow money from other people just so I can have my food, and if ever he doesn't get what I want..I would scold him, that was when i was still a little kid. But when I finally reached high school then I came to know what's the meaning of "sacrifice", and "duty" is,. And then I realized the efforts and troubles that my parents went through for our family. I know no amount of effort of mine can equal what they did for me and my sister, so the least I can do for them ,is to go to school with the reason to learn, with pursuit of success and finally get a job.

I can help my family in a little way by not being a burden to them. When I'm in school I will do my best and when I'm at home I will study hard and help with the household chores.
